Dandelions and UmbrellasThere is a little girl who Softly tips ripples across puddles With rosy barefoot toes; Ravels dandelion stalks between slender fingers And delicately sends the seeds away upon a breath Sweetened with satisfied yawns. She tells me the puddles are mirrors of liquid crystal Which reflect soft-shadowed worlds of amber; That dandelion seeds are floating white parasols Swathed in gossamer wishes, And her laughter is as light as rain.
